We provided assistance in setting up and gave a lecture on how to use the equipment for the 70th Annual Conference of the Italian Society, which will be held simultaneously in person and online in the large lecture hall (Room 226) of the Research and Lecture Building.

Saturday and Sunday events are prepared with weekday rehearsals
- Since the Educational Informatization Support Office was closed on the Saturday of the event, support was booked for two rehearsals, one week before the event and the day before, and lectures were given so that the organizers alone could manage the hybrid event.
- The equipment used to create the hybrid environment consisted of 3 PCs (presenter, moderator, and Zoom host), a tripod + PTZ camera, a YAMAHA YVC-1000 speakerphone and audio interface, and a wireless microphone set, and we showed the participants how to set up and use the equipment for the actual event. The participants were informed on how to set up and use the set up for the actual event.
- In order to enable online distribution with a realistic feel, we gave special attention to the PTZ camera, which allows remote control of camera angles and quick scene changes with its preset position function.

Dynamic vs. 360˚ omni-directional sound collection microphones: settings that take advantage of each
- Dynamic microphones (common handbikes) have a narrow sound-collecting range and require speaking close to the mouth, but they can deliver high-quality, noise-free sound to the other person. However, when used for online delivery, it is important to keep in mind that while the audience can hear what is said without a microphone, the online side can only hear the sound picked up by the microphone. During question-and-answer sessions, make sure that a microphone operator or other person hands the microphone to the speaker to ensure that he or she speaks using the microphone.
- A 360˚ omni-directional sound-collecting microphone can pick up a wide range of sound in a classroom or venue, making it useful for situations where an unspecified number of people are engaged in fast-paced conversation. However, sound quality will be lower because noise will also be included.
- By preparing both types of microphones for this event, we were able to use dynamic microphones, which emphasize sound quality, for the presentation, and 360˚ omni-directional sound-collecting microphones for the reception, which facilitate friendly remarks.
