The AV Library provides access to DVDs in a variety of languages from around the world. Faculty and staff may borrow DVDs on a short-term loan basis, or temporarily deposit their own DVDs as viewing assignments for students.
Many of our DVDs are donated. If you have any DVDs (in languages that are difficult to obtain in Japan) that you would like to donate, please let us know.
Weekdays 9:30-17:30 ※ DVD's must be returned by 5:30pm! ※ When using the AV Library, please be sure to check in at the reception desk in Room 202.
Facility Guide and Notes
In the AV library, you can watch DVDs from around the world on the shelves, as well as DVDs and BD media that you have brought with you. PCs are also available for browsing the Internet, creating documents, printing, etc.

Reception in Room 202
Currently, the AV Library (Room 215) is not staffed exclusively, so the staff in Room 202 is handling the reception desk. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
attention (heed)
If you leave your seat for more than 10 minutes, please follow the exit procedure. Leaving your luggage or other activities such as leaving your seat is prohibited.
Talking, laughing, use of cell phones, etc. are prohibited. Please cooperate so that users can watch DVDs in a quiet environment.
Eating and drinking are prohibited in the AV Library.Food and beverages that cannot be completely sealed (e.g. coffee cups) cannot be brought in.
Services for Students
DVD Viewing
Before entering the AV Library (Room 215), please fill out the "AV Library Application" in Room 202.
You may be asked to present your student ID (campus card), so please have it ready.
After entering the AV Library, if there is a DVD you wish to view, please go to Room 202 again and ask for a staff member. The staff will remove the DVD from the shelf.
Go to Room 202 again with a staff member and record the DVD number and other information on the "Application to Use the AV Library" form. You will then receive the DVD in a simple case, which you can watch in the AV Library.
When you finish using the room, please go to Room 202 to report.
If you have watched the DVD, please return it.

DVDs may not be removed from the shelves by anyone other than staff.
DVDs are not loaned out (taken home) to students.Please return by 5:30 p.m. on the same day.
TIPS
A connector that splits the earphones into two is also available for loan, allowing two or more people to watch one DVD at the same time using the earphones. If you have an assignment to watch a DVD in class, you can arrange with your classmates to watch the DVD at the same time.

Payment is by card (Suica, Pasmo) only.
A4 size, black and white only, 10 yen per sheet.
Services for Faculty and Staff
Lending of DVDs (1 week)
If you find a DVD you wish to borrow, please do not take the DVD out by yourself, but go to Room 202 to call a staff member.
Our staff will remove the DVD you wish to purchase from the shelf.
After that, please go to Room 202 again with a staff member and fill out the "AV Library Media Borrowing Request (for Faculty)" form.

The loan period for DVDs is one week.
Temporary storage of classroom media
Media (DVDs, VHS, etc.) that you want students to view for audiovisual assignments, etc., can be deposited in the AV Library.
Please bring your media to Room 202 and fill out the "Request for Temporary Storage of Classroom Media" form.
Tell students to check in in Room 202 and then go to the AV Library (Room 215) to view the media for their assignments.

The AV Library is available only from 9:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays. The library is closed during the summer term and on weekends and holidays, so the temporary storage service cannot be used for assignments during the summer vacation.
